“A kingdom man is the kind of man that when his feet hit the floor each morning the devil says, ‘Oh crap, he’s up!’” So begins this powerful volume from Dr. Tony Evans, now in softcover. Tony believes that God wants every man to be a world-changer. He skillfully takes readers along a journey through the principles of biblical manhood, exploring how those who live, work, and minister around a kingdom man benefit from his leadership and care. Men will be challenged to fully understand their position under God as well as their position over what God has given them. Equipped with these concepts, they can actively pursue ways to maximize and develop the character qualities of biblical manhood in their lives. As Tony contends, the enemy doesn’t want you to know it, but you’re not the man you think you are. You’re a whole lot more. Starting now, you can be a kingdom man.

As teenagers, best friends Lola Poole and Joan Procter concocted a scheme to escape their boredom, pass the time between boyfriends—and bring in some money. It all started when they got in the habit of corresponding with lonely, unsuspecting—and generous—older men. In return for their “love letters,” the teens were rewarded with checks. The fun only ended when their swindle nearly got them killed. Now they’re grown, but they’re still longing for every woman’s dream of love and excitement. And thanks to online dating and a parade of lovers, they’re getting all the sexy fun they missed out on. It’s a downright addictive game. But games can’t last forever—and someone has to lose . . . Praise for Every Woman’s Dream “An epic novel that spans a generation. . . . There’s a great twist in the final chapters that will have readers pounding the table.” —Library Journal “Engaging, provocative, disconcerting and shocking, as the author shrewdly characterizes the hazards when adults play dangerous games with strangers.” —RT Book Reviews

Summary The inspiration for this book was derived from a message first delivered on Mothers Day from the Pulpit of Christ Temple Christian Fellowship. The message focused on the love and commitment of a faithful woman and her expectations for the same from her spouse. The response from the women in attendance was overwhelming. Building upon the outline of the original message is research gained from counseling sessions, one on one interviews, and the undisputed source for truth, The Holy Bible. I now submit to you the passion that is universal to all women. It is the one thing that remains immutable since the dawn of creation and has since fueled the flames of fantasy, romance, and desire for all those in search of it. It is timeless, and gives no respect to age, ethnicity, or culture. It is incontestably the one thing that resides at the very core of Every Woman s Dream, True love. About The Author Dwain K White Sr. has been preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ for the past fifteen years and has been pastor of Christ Temple Christian Fellowship (formerly Christ Temple Baptist Church) located in Baltimore, Maryland since 1999. He and his wife Diane currently reside in Reisterstown, Maryland with their three sons. Pastor White is not only a preacher, but an accomplished musician, writer, arranger, and producer with two CD s to his credit (Hymnology by The Upper Room Players, and The Power Of God by Maximum Glory). He has also worked with countless artists, groups, musicians, choirs, and Grammy Award winning writers, but preaching and teaching the gospel is where he remains most passionate. Pastor White has now reached another milestone in his life. The intensity of his preaching and teaching is strikingly vivid in this book (which is the first of many to come).

A Woman's Dream began as a letter to an ex-girlfriend that I'd recently come in contact with after a 10 year hiatus. After a few pages, I realized that this letter had taken on a life of its own. Therefore, I opted to stay out of my own way and allowed my mind, heart and soul to speak freely. Through the course of conversation, I share a lot of my deepest, innermost thoughts and feelings ranging from life, love, relationships, companionship between women and men, matriarchy, helping women understand their worth and their power, while exposing my own vulnerabilities as a man and promoting manhood while protecting womanhood. I also touch topics pertaining to physical and emotional abuse, how women must recognize that abuse is abuse and it's totally unacceptable. I share poems, motivational/inspirational pieces and I dedicated some songs to emphasize my feelings. At the end of the day, I felt strongly about something and I'm doing something about it. A lot of women are being used, abused, disrespected and underappreciated. I'm here to show women how they're supposed to be viewed, loved, respected and appreciated. A Woman's Dream was written to one woman, but it has the potential to touch thousands of women - and it will.

I'm enlightened and awed by the environment around me, which ignites my flo-etry which forms my art of writing. If God gives me the ability to play with words and create imagery why not share it with the world? I give you my poetry. It's my heart, my passion and my life. I want you to indulge in it as if you have nowhere to go. Cry as you never cried, and over think and under analyze as if you question but know the answer. The different poems and short stories that you will be reading from this book comes from past experiences, viewed situation and or things that just came to mind. I find that you will enjoy them some better than others because they touch on real life situations and play with emotions. Some of them will have you testifying while reading or shouting while dreaming. Either way it goes they are for your enjoyment.

Description :

In the years between the world wars, Manhattan's Fourteenth Street-Union Square district became a center for commercial, cultural, and political activities, and hence a sensitive barometer of the dramatic social changes of the period. It was here that four urban realist painters--Kenneth Hayes Miller, Reginald Marsh, Raphael Soyer, and Isabel Bishop--placed their images of modern "new women." Bargain stores, cheap movie theaters, pinball arcades, and radical political organizations were the backdrop for the women shoppers, office and store workers, and consumers of mass culture portrayed by these artists. Ellen Wiley Todd deftly interprets the painters' complex images as they were refracted through the gender ideology of the period. This is a work of skillful interdisciplinary scholarship, combining recent insights from feminist art history, gender studies, and social and cultural theory. Drawing on a range of visual and verbal representations as well as biographical and critical texts, Todd balances the historical context surrounding the painters with nuanced analyses of how each artist's image of womanhood contributed to the continual redefining of the "new woman's" relationships to men, family, work, feminism, and sexuality.

Everyone starts out in life on the same level. Some achieve fortune and fame; others do not. That doesnt mean that they have lesser value or lead less meaningful lives than those who have achieved glory. Everybody means something to someone, and is important to them. To those who have achieved great things that have benefitted humanity, my hat goes off to them. To those who have achieved fame and fortune through their hard work, I say Good for you, you worked for it. I may not have amassed a great fortune in my lifetime, nor achieved fame, but I am rich nevertheless. I can count on both hands the ones I love and the ones who love me. I can boast, however, of two achievements of which I am extremely proud. The first is my two children, Christine and Kevin. No father can be prouder of his children than I. There I can say: George, you did well. The second achievement of which lm very proud is the collection of poems that lve composed throughout the years. My English teachers gave up on me in high school. They figured I didnt have a snowballs chance in hell where it came to creative writing. I cant blame them either. I didnt see writing in my future at the age of 16. I was content to speak the English language and that was enough for me. I always enjoyed reading poems in school; some more than others. After I graduated and joined the work force, I found that I had a knack for composing. As time went by, my poems got better and better. I was actually proud of the end product. Here again I can say: Well done, George. Everyone wants to leave something of themselves behind as a testimony to their passing through this world. And so, dear children, I leave you my collection of poems. When your eyes peruse the words that lve written, lIl be there beside you. As for you, dear reader, I hope you take great pleasure in reading my poems.
